India's Kingfisher Airlines will cease daily flights on the London-Bangalore and Bangalore-Colombo routes from 15 September.

The routes will be withdrawn "until further notice," says the carrier.

Kingfisher operates Airbus A330 aircraft on the London-Bangalore route, according to Innovata. Its only competition on the route is British Airways, which operates seven flights a week, all with Boeing 747-400 aircraft.

On the Bangalore-Colombo route, Kingfisher operates Airbus A320 aircraft. Its only competition on the route is Sri Lankan Airlines, which operates four flights a week, all with A320s, says Innovata.
