Composite provider FACC will continue manufacturing the Bombardier CSeries' wing-to-body fairings, following the extension of a contract during the Paris air show.

The extended deal has a value of more than $100 million, says FACC, which manufactures the fairings in Austria.

Under the original deal, FACC was contracted to develop, test and deliver fairings for the first 10 CSeries aircraft.

Bombardier has delivered 14 CSeries jets in total. The first was handed over in mid-2016.

The renewed contract covers production of fairings for the "mid-term", though FACC does not specify the timeframe. FACC makes clear in a media release that it can increase production to meet Bombardier's ramp-up of CSeries production.

"FACC has the capacity to adjust to changing demand," says the company, which also manufactures wing-to-body fairings for Bombardier's Global 7000 and 8000 business jets.
