Aviation component and systems maker Meggitt has landed a deal with Boeing to provide the airframer with integrated standby flight displays (ISFD) for the 777X.

Under a deal disclosed by Meggitt during the Paris air show, the company says it will design, develop and deliver the displays, for entry-into-service in 2020.

The systems measure and display a range of flight data, including attitude, altitude, air speed and heading, according to the company.

Meggitt says the deal marks the first time the company has sold ISFDs to either Boeing or Airbus. "As such, this is a strategically significant contract award," says Meggitt.

Currently, only business and military aircraft have Meggitt's ISFDs, the company adds.
