Russian Helicopters has delivered the first Mil Mi-171 utility helicopter for a civilian customer in Indonesia.

In an email statement, Russian Helicopters says the client is "one of the largest mining companies" in Indonesia. The company declined to specify the customer's identity.

Two photos attached to the email, however, showed the helicopter in the livery of charter operator Airfast Indonesia. According to the Airfast web site, one service the company offers is the operation and maintenance of aircraft on behalf of customers.

The Mi-171 has a maximum take-off weight of 13,000kg (28,700lb). It can carry three crew and 26 passengers.
