Twelve Turkish military personnel and four Afghan civilians were killed when a Turkish army Sikorsky S-70 Black Hawk utility helicopter crashed in Kabul Province on 16 March.

Images of the crash scene in Afghanistan's Bagrami district show that the aircraft came down on a house before causing a fire. The helicopter was destroyed in the accident, although one image clearly identifies the tail section as being from a Black Hawk.

"The cause of the crash is under investigation, however initial reporting indicates there was no enemy activity in the area at the time of the crash," the NATO-led International Security Assitance Force says in a statement.
