Saudi Red Crescent Society has grounded its helicopter emergency medical services fleet following the fatal crash on 22 January of a Eurocopter BO105LSA3. The aircraft was travelling from Medina to Jeddah when it crashed, killing the Bosnian pilot and two Syrian doctors on board. The society has instructed staff not to use the second air ambulance-configured BO105 until the investigation is complete, says a society source.
