Major Asia-Pacific airlines recorded another month of healthy passenger traffic growth and strong load factors.

The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) says in a statement that its members’ cumulative revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) from international services increased 4.2% in July, while the number of international passengers carried increased 4.1% to 12.79 million. ASKs increased 2.4% and passenger load factor improved 1.4 percentage points to 80.1%.

International freight traffic in terms of freight tonne kilometres increased 4% while capacity rose 3.7%, lifting freight load factor up by 0.2 of a percentage point to 66.8%. AAPA represents 17 major airlines in the Asia-Pacific region.
