US manufacturers Aviat and American Champion are to include Northstar Avionics global-positioning-system receivers as recommended options on their line of general-aviation aircraft. Aviat produces the utility Husky A-1 and aerobatic Pitts Special, while American Champion builds five light-aircraft models. Northstar is a subsidiary of Canadian Marconi.
