New Delhi approves Apache buy, cancels long-running tender

​India’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) has cleared the procurement of attack and heavy-lift helicopters for the Indian air force, cumulatively worth an estimated $2 billion, while cancelling a decade long effort for the procurement for 197 “Reconnaissance and Surveillance Helicopters” (RSH) worth $1 billion.
