From 27 February, USAir has been formally renamed US Airways. The carrier has adopted a new logo, resembling the US flag, in an effort to shed its image as a US regional airline. Chairman Stephen Wolf remains, however, saddled with labour contracts which keep the airline's operating costs among the highest in the industry.
