* Australia's Hawker de Havilland has signed an A$70 million ($53.3 million) deal with Northrop Grumman to manufacture and assemble airframe structures for the low-rate initial production phase of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter programme.

* Grob Aerospace will supply Kelowna Flightcraft of Canada with nine G120A trainers for use at the Canadian Forces Flying Training School at Portage La Prairie in Manitoba. Kelowna has also placed options for a further three aircraft.

* Sweden's Saab Bofors Dynamics is to produce subsystems for BGT's IRIS-T air-to-air missile under a deal worth around SKr850 million ($115 million) that is scheduled to expire in 2011.

* The US Navy has awarded EDO an $11 million contract to produce 135 BRU-55 dual weapon racks for its Boeing F/A-18 fighters. Each rack can accommodate two 500kg (1,100lb) Boeing Joint Direct Attack Munitions.
