A five-screen glass cockpit supplied by Thales Avionics is the key element of the new -600 version of the ATR 42/72 turboprop family, launched last week. The new family, which will be progressively introduced during the second half of 2010, will also feature a 300kg (660lb) increase in maximum take-off and maximum zero fuel weights more powerful Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127M engines and the latest in light-emitting diode lighting inside the cabin.
