Aircalin, the French Pacific Island airline, has leased an Airbus A310-300 to expand its international network. The airline, also known as Air Calédonie International, will fly the widebody to Auckland, Sydney, Papeete and on a new twice-weekly flight to Osaka, Japan. The Pratt & Whitney PW4000-powered, ex-Swissair twinjet is on lease from Airbus.
