United Airlines and Mexicana plan to start codesharing on flights between Mexico and the US on 1 May 1997, subject to government approval.
British Airways is to reintroduce six weekly flights from London/Gatwick to Zagreb, as well as to Barcelona, Lisbon, Glasgow and Krakow in March.
BA franchisee CityFlyer Express is to take over Deutsche BA's London/ Gatwick-Bremen service in March and start a three times daily Gatwick-Luxembourg service in May. BA franchise partner GB Airways is to start services from Gatwick to Faro and Porto in March.

Royal Brunei Airlines has introduced a joint services agreement with Bouraq Indonesia Airlines for flights between Bandar Seri Begawan and Balikpapan.
SilkAir is to operate twice-weekly services from Singapore to Davao City, Philippines from March.
German regional Eurowings has introduced five weekly flights to Belfast/City as an extension of its Düsseldorf-Newcastle services, operated jointly with Gill Airways.
Aer Lingus will operate L.1011 services to New York/Newark between May and October.
Japan Airlines and Malaysia Airlines started joint weekly cargo services from both Tokyo/Narita and Osaka/ Kansai to Penang using a MAS B747-200F in mid-January.
Lufthansa CityLine and Bombardier plan to set up a business jet charter company in Berlin-Schönefeld in the second quarter of 1997.
