Kazan Helicopters has acquired full type certification from the CIS aviation authorities for its Ansat light twin-turbine helicopter. Deliveries of Kazan's first in-house design are scheduled to begin later this year, says the company, which has secured customers in Russia and South Korea where the government has ordered five helicopters as part of Russian debt repayment. Kazan plans to reach a production level of around 25 units a year.
