British company MEI Technologies has announced a major order to supply high-tech electrical connectors for ground-based equipment for the four-nation Eurofighter Typhoon.
The order is for mass electrical interconnect systems that form part of critical maintenance equipment. The systems will be supplied to MEI's customer Indra, of Madrid, Spain, which won the contract to supply the automatic test equipment (ATE) that European air forces will use for regular testing of avionic devices used in the Eurofighter.
Managing director Barry Edwards says: "This is a significant order and we are pleased to be supporting such a major pan-European programme.
