Brunei is expected to award a $5 million contract in the next few months to upgrade its fleet of 10 Bell 212 and six Eurocopter BO105 helicopters.
Caledonian Airborne Systems, Eurocopter and Singapore Technologies Aerospace have submitted bids for the project, which includes installing a new identification friend or foe system on all 18 aircraft and new avionics on the BO105s. Sources say Brunei is also considering a glass cockpit for the BO105.
