Saab has won a SKr1.2 billion ($142 million) Swedish Defence Material Administration contract to produce defensive aids systems, including radar warning receivers and electronic countermeasures, for the JAS39 Gripen. Messier Dowty has been selected to provide the landing gear for the Korean Aerospace Industries KTX-2. Canada's Magellan Aerospace has received a series of contracts from GKN Westland to build components for the EH Industries Cormorant, 15 of which are on order for the Canadian Forces. A C$7.2 million ($4.9 million) contract covers production of composite transmission and engine cowls, while one for C$9.7 million ($6.6 million) involves building the lower forward fuselage. The Royal Australian Air Force has ordered cockpit video recording systems from Teac America. The $5.5 million contract includes deployable ground briefing systems. Alenia Marconi Systems has won a £7 million ($11.5 million) contract to provide a full mission trainer for airborne early warning observer training on the GKN Westland Sea King AEW7. The contract has been let by prime contractor Racal Defence Electronics.
