Science and Applied Technologies has received a $10 million contract to develop the guidance and control section for a rocket/ramjet-powered missile under the US Navy's High Speed Anti-Radiation Demonstration (HSAD) programme. The missile will integrate a nozzleless rocket and variable-flow ducted rocket/ramjet. Mexico has awarded Sikorsky a three-year, $5.1 million deal to maintain UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, extending the current five-year maintenance plan. Smiths Aerospace is predicting more than $350 million of business following US Air Force approval for full-rate production of the Raytheon JPATS T-6A Texan turboprop trainer. Smiths supplies the trainer's cockpit multifunction displays, a major part of the hydraulic system and electronic control systems. The USAF and US Navy are buying 782 T-6As, including 168 which are already on contract under low-rate initial production. TEAC America has received a contract from the US Army to supply 25 VSC-80B Hi-8mm airborne video recorders for Boeing AH-64A helicopters and two TEAC Integrated Debriefing Stations. The recorders will feature TEAC's Vertical Interval Time Code card which provides a global positioning system time stamp on every video frame. The US Navy has awarded information technology specialist American Management Systems (AMS) a contract to integrate AMS's automated data capture system with an enterprise resource planning prototype on the Navy's Northrop Grumman E-2C aircraft. The system will collect maintenance data on aircraft systems, which will reduce aircraft downtime and maintenance costs, and improve maintenance planning. Engineered Support Systems has been awarded a US Air Force contract valued at up to $16.7 million for the Radar Avionics Depot Test Station (RADTS). RADTS equipment is used to repair radio frequency and microwave shop replaceable units from the Boeing F-15's APG-63 and APG-70 radars. US carrier World Airways has received an additional $10 million fixed-buy flying contract from the US Air Mobility Command.
