India's Cartosat-2 Earthimaging satellite is planned for launch in 2004-5. Placed in a 630km (390 mile) sun-synchronous orbit by the country'sPolar Satellite Launch Vehicle, the satellite's panchromatic camera will provide resolution better than 1m within a 10km swath.
