Kaman has embarked on a search for a new chief executive to succeed company founder Charles Kaman, age 79. Kaman has asked the company's directors to begin looking for a new executive to take over the daily running of the $1 billion business. He will remain chairman, a position he has held since establishing the company in 1945.
