Dr Brian Dailey has been named vice-president for strategic development, at US aerospace manufacturer Lockheed Martin. He succeeds Dr John Egan, who is to retire in 1998, and was previously vice-president, business development for the company's space and strategic-missiles sector. The company has also created the new post of vice-president of the joint air-to-surface stand-off-missile programme, and appointed Richard Caime to the job. Caime has been with Lockheed Martin (and the company's predecessors) for a total of 14 years.
