Canadian flight operations software company Navtech is to acquire SAS Group’s navigation data and charting specialist European Aeronautical Group (EAG) for a base price of SKr162 million ($20.1 million).

SAS Group says the sale is part of a strategy to allow the Scandinavian airline company to focus on its core business activities.

Under the divestment agreement, the base price for EAG could be supplemented by a further SKr30 million payment depending on the Stockholm-based company’s revenue performance.

Its revenues last year totalled SKr194 million.
