Diamond Aircraft Industries has taken the wraps off the DA50 Superstar, an all-composite five-seater powered by a single diesel or gasoline piston engine of up 350hp (260kW), but has provided little detail on its latest aircraft.

Diamond says the “all-new five-seater will be the most spacious in the new generation of single-engine aircraft in general aviation. The DA50 expands a fast-selling light aircraft range that includes the two-seat DA20, four-seat DA40 Diamond Star, twin-engined DA42 Twin Star and the single-turbofan D-Jet.
