AlliedSignal has obtained supplemental type certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration for the latest version of its RDR-4B predictive windshear radar system for installation on Boeing 737-300 and -500s. United Airlines has ordered 495 radars for fitting to all of its late-generation aircraft.
