Shanghai Airlines narrowed its losses in the third quarter.
In the three months ending 30 September it had a net loss of 42.7 million yuan ($6.3 million) compared to a net loss of 437.4 million yuan the corresponding period last year, Shanghai Airlines says to the Shanghai stock exchange.
Operating revenue increased 15% to 3.62 billion yuan and expenses increased 6% to 3.81 billion, it says.
Rival Shanghai-based carrier, China Eastern Airlines, earlier this year took over Shanghai Airlines.
