Tibetan High Flyer

China Southwest has launched a weekly scheduled service between Chengdu and Bangda, the world's highest-altitude airport, using a modified Boeing 757. To operate from the 14,200ft (4,330m)- high airport in Tibet, the altitude trigger limit for the aircraft's emergency oxygen and cabin-pressure systems, has been raised.
