Russian aerospace firm United Aircraft has reached a preliminary agreement to deliver six Ilyushin Il-114-300 regional turboprops to the Indian market.
The agreement has been disclosed during the Wings India 2026 air show at Hyderabad, at which the modernised aircraft is being displayed.
United Aircraft says the “co-operation programme” with Flamingo Aerospace is intended to meet India’s “growing regional aviation needs”.
It states that delivery of the six Il-114-300s – to begin arriving in 2028 – “will be the first stage”.
As part of the partnership, it adds, United Aircraft will provide Flamingo Aerospace with support in developing aviation competencies.
The tie-up will allow the Indian company to gradually expand its aircraft assembly, modification, and MRO capabilities, it says.

“This partnership brings cutting-edge aircraft and technologies to the Indian market and lays the foundation for creating sustainable aviation opportunities and skilled jobs in the country,” says Flamingo Aerospace chief Subhakar Pappula.
United Aircraft chief Vadim Badekha highlights the rapid growth of the Indian air travel sector. “This creates the preconditions for the commercial success of our aircraft in the region,” he says.
As part of its display at the show, the Il-114-300 carried out a demonstration flight of some 270nm to show off its regional potential.
Powerplant developer United Engine says the Klimov TV7-117ST-01 engine for the type is “ready for serial deliveries”.
“Service support for the [engine] in Russia is also ready to begin,” says Klimov general designer Evgeny Prodanov.
United Engine says the prototype TV7-117ST-01 has accumulated nearly 3,000h of operation over more than 400 flights.
