AlliedSignal is announcing an initial $543million in new business at the Paris Air Show, including a $175million production contract for 72 F124 turbofan engines that will be used on attack aircraft for the Czech Air Force.
The engines will power Aero Vodochody L-159 single-seat attack versions of the popular Aero trainer.
Boeing has recently become a major shareholder in Czech-based Aero.
Other major contracts that AlliedSignal plans to announce include $130million in new avionics and brake business with German, Russian and Turkish airlines and $50million in new APUs for Sikorsky S-92 helicopters.
