B-2 refurbishment

The first Northrop Grumman B-2, air vehicle AV-1, is to be taken out of storage and refurbished to increase the number of operational aircraft by one, to 21. The $493 million provided by Congress, in 1996 to restart B-2 production, will be used to put AV-1 into service by 2000.
