Cirrus Design delivered the 250th SR-series aircraft last month and is planning to boost production schedule for the latest model, the SR22, from one aircraft per day. It will do so as soon as it can hire enough staff, says chief executive Alan Klapmeier. The Duluth, Minnesota-based firm has delivered its 100th two-seat piston single SR20 (above) and started SR22 deliveries in February. Demand for the SR20/22 has been boosted by a regional fractional ownership programme operated by Atlanta, Georgia-based AirShares Elite.
