State-owned Czech aircraft manufacturer Aero Vodochody will undergo privatisation before the middle of next year, says president Antonín Jakubse. “The sooner it will happen, the better,“ he told local daily Hospodárské noviny, adding that he does not want the state-owned company to be broken up before the sale. Several potential buyers, both local and foreign, have already shown interest, according to Jakubse. Last year, the Czech Republic lost around CKr9 billion ($367 million) in guarantees for bank credits that Aero had not been able to repay.
