US airlines have protested in vain at the Federal Aviation Administration's insistence on a more stringent application of pilot duty time limitations.
Petitions by the Air Transport Association and the Regional Airlines Association have failed to persuade the FAA to delay enforcement of the rules until a pending lawsuit has been heard.
