If you see a BN Islander, BAe/Hawker 125 or an elderly Beagle somewhere in the world outside the UK, there is a very good chance it was delivered by renowned ferry pilot Capt Peter Nock. The modest and unassuming Nock has sadly died and it is probably only now we can safely say that thanks to his skill as both a demo and ferry pilot, pioneering Islanders opened up far-flung areas of the Middle East and Asia.
