IBM is introducing an electronic identity security solution designed specifically for the aerospace industry. The system protects critical data and user identities as information moves across supply chains and third-party networks.

The system, designed with Exostar, combines software, hardware and services to better protect financial and project-related data.

Chuck Miller, IBM's general manager of global aerospace and defence industry, says: "Those companies with security-enhanced communications capabilities will achieve a significant competitive advantage.

"IBM's business expertise in the aerospace and defence industry, combined with our broad security portfolio, enables us to help these organisations focus on their core business while transforming their security environment to remain competitive."
