Asian Aerospace 2000 is proving to be an open and shut case for Hardigg Cases. Having suffered as a result of the economic downturn during the past two years, the company is seeing signs of improvement. It has been in negotiations with customers in the region and is hopeful that it can sign contracts with military clients in the coming months.
As a sign of its confidence Hardigg has re-appointed Oceanav as local distributor and is here at the show to boost the distributors' profile in the industry.
Hardigg has been manufacturing cases for the transportation of fragile or sensitive equipment for more than 40 years. The family owned business is based in South Deerfield, MA.
The company has been a regular exhibitor at Singapore. International sales co-ordinator Luc Choquette here at the company's stand, D111, sees ever greater demand for transport protection products. "There is a significant increase in the transportation of hi-tech products particularly laptop computers and specialist electronic technology. Obviously these are things that have a high value and are fragile. As technology advances, people find applications for computers in ever more challenging environments. The need to ensure their safe carriage is paramount."
Hardigg also manufactures cases for missiles and other ordnance.
