Estonia's Magnetic MRO has formalised its partnership with US-based landing gear shop Component Overhaul Services.
Tallinn-headquartered Magnetic MRO – which specialises in maintenance of Airbus A320s and Boeing 737s – says it decided to sign a "long-term exclusive partnership" with Component Overhaul Services instead of investing in a landing gear shop of its own.
Covered under the agreement are Magnetic MRO customers in Africa, Asia, Europe and Russia, but not clients in the Americas – Component Overhaul Services' home region.
In addition to 737 and A320 landing gear, Component Overhaul Services' Miami-based repair shop processes landing gears for 747s, 757s, 767s, 777s, MD-80s, Bombardier CRJ regional jets and Lockheed C-130 transports.
Component Overhaul Services has previously handled landing gear for Magnetic MRO customers or equipment that the Estonian maintenance provider salvaged during aircraft teardowns.
