The ink might still be wet on some of the contracts signed at Paris this week, but preparations are already well under way for Farnborough 2000 - as the UK show moves to a new date.
The Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC), organisers of the event, say moving the show from its traditional September slot to a fresh date from 24-30 July will make Farnborough even more attractive to the world's aerospace industry.
"We have been considering the change for some time and it does make perfect sense," says Peter Taylor, director of exhibits and events.
"It will ensure that the length of time between the Paris and Farnborough shows is more equal. The response from the people we've spoken to is that they welcome the move."
