Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) has added a second Boeing 747-400 freighter to its portfolio through a purchase and lease-back deal with South Korea's Asiana Airlines. The aircraft will be leased to Asiana for 12 years. Focus Aviation has arranged the sale of two Boeing MD-81s to GA Telesis Turbine Technologies, a new jet engine leasing, trading and parts management company based in Opa Locka, Florida. The previous owners were Wells Fargo Equipment Finance, Banc One and Union Bank of California. BWIA West Indies Airways has acquired two Airbus A340-300s for delivery in June and November to replace two Lockheed L1011-500s. Air Mauritanie is leasing one Boeing 737-700 from International Lease Finance (ILFC). Ilyushin-Finance is negotiating with Sibir about purchasing up to six idle Tupolev Tu-204-100s, which it plans to upgrade and modernise. Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) has exercised options on three additional Bombardier CRJ200 regional jets for delivery in the third quarter of next year. ASA and fellow Delta Connection carrier Comair have now ordered 237 CRJ100/200s. Italy's Blue Panorama has received the first of two ex-LTU Boeing 767-300ERs from ILFC for operation on long-haul charter services. Omni Air has leased two ex-British Airways McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 freighters from XS Aviation, following cargo conversion by Aeronavali in Naples. The first aircraft was delivered in May; the second will follow in August. Onur Air of Turkey will add two ex-Air Afrique Airbus A300-600Rs this month on five-year lease from ILFC. Sky Airlines of Antalya, Turkey has leased a 1992-built Boeing 737-400 from ILFC. MNG Airlines of Istanbul has taken delivery of a leased Boeing 737-400 from ILFC. Italy's AzzurraAir has put the first of two Boeing 737-700s leased from GE Capital Aviation Services into service, joining three already in the fleet.
