Top level co-operation among Middle Eastern countries was demonstrated yesterday when VIPs from Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the UAE came together to open the first Middle East aviation pavilion at any international airshow.
Carrying out the official opening of the pavilion, organised by Dubai airshow organiser Fairs & Exhibitions (F&E), were Prince Turki Al Faisal, Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the UK; Prince Feisal Ibn Al-Hussein, Chief of Air Staff of the Royal Jordanian Air Force; and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai's Department of Civil Aviation and chairman of the Emirates Group.
Following the opening, the VIPs toured the pavilion, which houses seven participants from Lebanon, Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
