A low-cost, high-performance on-board oxygen generating system, claimed to be the world's first, has been launched by Litton Industries' Life Support division.
LITOCS 1 - Litton Oxygen Concentrating System - is compatible with nearly all new and existing aircraft and incorporates the latest technological advances in materials, design and manufacturing techniques, says its manufacturers.
"These advances have resulted in a new compact design with low lifecycle costs, minimal maintenance requirements and extremely high reliability," says Michael R Brown, Litton president and chief operating officer.
The system is being used by the US Air Force and Navy in a joint training programme and is being tested at Pilatus (PC-9) and Bristol Aerospace (CF-5).
LITOCS 1 is on display in Transaero's exhibit booth with the Combat Edge Regulator and PBG Field Tester (Hall 3/F15).
