Etihad Airways has confirmed its expected deal for 12 Airbus widebodies, including three freighters.

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier has ordered five A330-200s, four A340-600s and three A330-200Fs. No engine selections have been released.

The deal was signed at the Paris air show in a ceremony featuring Etihad CEO James Hogan, Airbus chief operating officer customers John Leahy, Etihad chairman Dr Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan, and Airbus president and CEO Louis Gallois.
