The last two of four former Royal Netherlands Air Force Fokker 60 maritime patrol and transport aircraft have been delivered to the Peruvian navy's aviation group.

Now registered as AE565 and AE566, the aircraft left Woensdrecht air base on 3 December for their new home in Lima. They were flown via Iceland, Canada, Bermuda, the Dutch Antilles and Iquitos, Peru.

The Peruvian navy received its first two Fokker 60s from the Netherlands in June. Originally fielded as transports, these had been modified in 2005 for maritime patrol activities in the Dutch Antilles, following the phasing out of the Netherlands' Lockheed Martin P-3C Orions. Its new arrivals are in their original air transport configuration.

Peru's navy also has two Hawker Beechcraft King Air 200s in use as maritime patrols, Flightglobal's MiliCAS database says.
