AWAS chief executive David Siegel is stepping down and will not join the lessor's acquirer Dubai Aerospace Enterprise when the transaction is completed in August, sources tell FlightGlobal.
Firoz Tarapore will remain chief executive of DAE.
An email to staff confirms that AWAS's finance chief Simon Glass will take the same role at DAE. The top commercial position will be split between AWAS's Jon O'Connell, who will take over as global head of sales, and DAE's David Houlihan, who will serve as head of trading and OEM relations. Each will report to Tarapore directly.
A source tells FlightGlobal that the chief operating role will be split between DAE's Daniel Stone and AWAS's Karl Griffin. While their specific roles and responsibilities have not been disclosed, each will report directly to Tarapore.
AWAS executives Michael Dowling, Philip Jackmauh and Susan Brandford will respectively serve as head of portfolio and risk management, general counsel, and head of human resources. DAE's Eoghan O'Driscoll and Lesley Jones will be technical chief and legal chief, respectively.
DAE earlier this year agreed to purchase AWAS from Terra Firma for $7.15 billion.
