French avionics manufacturer Sagem has bought Arnav, its partner on the refitting of Erickson Air-Crane's fleet of Erickson-remanufactured Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane helicopters. Sagem started negotiations with the Washington-based manufacturer six months ago after the two companies were teamed by Erickson - Sagem providing the autopilot and Arnav the multifunctional displays - and closed the deal on 13March for an undisclosed amount. Arnav will be merged with Sagem's USsubsidiary Sim, and the resulting company renamed Sagem Avionics.
