The Royal Thai Navy has placed its two AgustaWestland Super Lynx 300s into operational service. The helicopters are operated by 203 Squadron based at U-Tapao and will be used for a range of naval roles including maritime patrol, search and rescue, anti-submarine warfare and anti-surface warfare. The aircraft will primarily operate from the navy's Narasuan-class frigates. The Super Lynx 300 is powered by a pair of LHTEC CTS800 engines and equipped with BAE Systems' Seaspray surveillance radar.
