A new long-haul charter division of Swissair, Charter-Leisure, will be set up this year employing 200 people and operating two Swissair Airbus A310-300s. Swissair crews transferred to the low-cost operation will be paid less, but have the chance to become captains earlier. The division will replace its A310s with A330-200s from 1998.
