The first Boeing KC-767A tanker-transport converted for the Italian air force entered flight and refuelling certification in late May with a sortie of more than 1h from Boeing's Wichita site in Kansas. The air force will receive the aircraft early next year, with a further three to undergo conversion in Italy.
