Aerostructures specialist Vought Aircraft Industries is to cut 1,200 jobs, a fifth of its workforce, because of production rate reductions at Boeing, which accounts for 80% of the Dallas, Texas-based company's business. Gulfstream is to cut 6% of its 8,000-strong workforce because of slowing business-jet sales.
