Kawasaki Heavy Industries
Kawasaki developed the T-4 as a replacement for the Lockheed T-33 operated by the JASDF. Deliveries of the aircraft began in 1988, with a total acquisition of a 154 aircraft so far funded. The JASDF envisages a requirement for 200 aircraft.
